This is what I need. I just click on one of the tutorial and is well explained. Looks like creating a logo isn’t as difficult as I think.

The first one on your list is by far the best one as it shows you how to make a great logo and explains why every step is important. Some of the others will only show you how to make that specific logo and unless you’re already talented I don’t think you’ll get that much from it. But thank you for posting the list. I’ll definitely check out that first one.

Mikael thanks for that, I wrote it. Though while it’s perfectly fine to design a logo in Photoshop, the most ideal software to use is Illustrator, or software that provides you with the capacity to for 100% vector. Here is a video tutorial on how to design a logo in Illustrator that I wrote: http://how.todesignyour.com/illustrator-logo-tutorial – Also check out my blog for free video tutorials that I’m starting to add regularly :)

Thanks Gary. I love that you’re using video. Being a “not-graphical” person it helps a lot to actually see every step of the process. I know that it’ll never be the same as have a pro like yourself do it but to start out on a limited budget it is a great help.

Gary, I like the first tutorial as well. Great information. I laughed about the “sit and stare” part. That is where I usually stop :)

Last month I thought of a new business concept… I started sorting out business plan etc and then began with my logo… well I had absolutely no luck at all. I found a website and created one but it was very very basic.. I want something that´s a bit more “wowzy” :-) Thanks for all the tips.. I guess I´ll need to look around and see which one suits me best!

Mikael, I agree with you that videos help a lot in these sorts of things. When the tutorials tell me what to do, it can be tough since I really don’t know much.

Still, this is great timing as I’ve been thinking about launching a new site and could use a new header.

    Hi, awesome logos!
For the Blue Laguna one, at the step 5/just before 6 starts, how do you get the text to sit the way it is next to the anime face without looking like the layers are in the way? It has a 1 mm gap text wrapiung the image, how can that be done in photoshop? thanks!
