Story and concept
Due to WpRecipes.com success, one month ago I start to think about a new site with exactly the same concept: Providing daily quick and useful tips to a specific subject. Quickly, I realized that there was a huge demand for a site similar to WpRecipes.com, but dedicated to Adobe Photoshop.
This is why I bought the domain PsdRecipes.com and started to work on this future blog.
Introducing my partner: Jeremy Herve
Due to the fact that I already maintain this blog and WpRecipes, as well as being a writer for various other blogs and magazines, it was clear to me that I’ll not be able to run this new project properly while being alone.
So, 2 or 3 weeks ago I asked on Twitter if someone should be interested for being my partner for this new site. Some people answered, and one guy made a particullary good impression to me due to his obvious enthousiasm for this project.
This guy is called Jeremy Herve, and he have a lot in common with me: Like me, he’s a self-taught guy who like to learn new things on a daily basis. Like me, Jeremy is French but later moved to another European country.
And at last but not least, Jeremy is a talented webdesigner. He currently maintains a WordPress related blog called WereWP.com.
Some recipes to start

- How to: Create a reusable pattern
- How to: darken hair on your pictures
- How to: add a colorful background to a silhouette picture
- How to: create a silhouette
- How to: Create your own Photoshop script
- How to: create a panorama
I really hope you’ll enjoy this new blog! Make sure to add PsdRecipes.com RSS feed to your rss reader!

Great initiative…good luck with it.
Already saw a useful recipe: automerging photo’s into a panorama-photo!
Hey Jean-Baptiste. Great new blog idea. There is big demand for good Photoshop tutorials. I’m sure your new site will be a hit!
Your effort is definitely going to help so many people.. Thats why it keeps me coming back for more recipes!

Nice to see you expanding the (cat) family hehe
Good idea to keep a similar format. Will likely draw in your loyal readers from your other blogs. Good luck with it.
Nice! I’m now subscribed.
Damn, thanks for the hook up! This is some awesome stuff.
When will you stop your Web conquest ?:D
Great idea, the market for photoshop sites is solid. It looks like you’ve got a great line-up already offered on it and I’m interested to see where it goes from here.
Keep us updated!
Thanks to all of you for your positive feedback! I really appreciate it
Great news. Another useful tutorial site to subscribe at. Thanks for the efforts. Wish you all the best with it .
Great job. Very useful site.
Both great ideas for websites – may have to check them out from time to time!
The recipes are great it would be nice to see a tutorial on masking as these as its a simple tool that can really enhance someone’s creativity in photoshop. Also the pen tool, which is particularly tricky but when you get he hang of it allows you the freedom to accurately cut out images and create organic shapes.
Wow nice idea for a new website, looks like another site I might drop on from time to time.
Love the look of the site. Simple, clean and ultimately very pleasing to the eye. If the tutorials shared there are as efficient as the ones I have found on this blog than it will surely be a success.
WpRecipes is an awesome blog, and if you offer similar value with PsdRecipes you are bound to be successful! May the synergy between you and Jeremy prove to be fruitful, and may we get tons of awesome Photoshop recipes from your collaboration. All the best with your endeavour!.
The site looks great!! I look forward to more updates.
Sounds great. Mostly because I’m not using that many of wprecipes, and I could use photoshop tips every day at work. I’m looking forward to seeing how the site develops.
I love that avatar, cats who draw, even though I’d like some advanced lessons over there
great job….. it will be beneficial to be connected to people of your interest online who can help you a lot.
